Science Fiction Fantasy Stories, Movies, Games, and Topics with Jevon Knights
King Larsen’s entire world shatters when his beloved queen Gwen becomes infected with an unknown illness and dies. He loses the will to rule, and his city Vivek is overthrown by King Malik of Holt Harbour. A year passes, Larsen never recovers from despair, lives as a vagabond just close enough to Gwen’s grave so he can visit her daily, and all his people suffer under Malik’s oppressive laws. However, Larsen learns that Gwen never actually died from her illness and a cure is possible by taking her into Desanorbis, a land named after the Servant of Insanity.
So he disregards all warnings, ignores better judgment, digs his love up from her grave and embarks on the quest, setting into motion a series of events that puts the entire world in danger.
My debut novel Guardian of the Cursed Crown is available on the Kindle bookstore. And I would like to give you part I & II right now, FREE.

Fallout 4
I’ve been a gamer ever since my brother Vonrick introduced me to Atari way back in 1995.
A lot has changed since then, the main thing being that I don’t have as much time to play anymore.
It’s unfortunate, because this is a great time to be a gamer. They’ve developed far beyond what I ever thought possible while growing up, both in graphics and gameplay.
So because of my constraints, I really have to be picky about the games I’m investing my time in.
After much consideration, I decided that the winner of current generation gaming is Sony’s PS4.
I went ahead and bought one, and the first game on my list is Fallout 4.
I’m absolutely hooked.
Why?
Well, here are 5 reasons why Fallout 4 is awesome.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Today’s article is a guest post by my brother Vonrick. He’s a big Star Wars fan (as are we all) and wanted to voice his concerns about the new movie The Force Awakens. Here’s what he has to say:
The Force is with us again, and that means we get to revel in more lightsaber swinging, laser blasting, Millennium Falcon flying action.
But for those of us who grew up in the 80’s, all this recent activity looks kind of familiar. The new Star Wars movie echoes a lot of events from the original released way back in 1977.
Now it’s good to learn from past success and give the audience more of what they want, but that’s no reason to dust off the carbonite copy and use it as a template. Even Han Solo could tell you that carbonite isn’t that […]

2015 is over and we’re in a new year.
And after all the fireworks and champagne and resolutions, it’s time to get back to work, and get back to writing.
But before I start, it’s good to take a moment to reflect on last year’s accomplishments, plan the way forward, and give readers an idea of what I’m working on.
Here’s how my 2015 writing went and what I have set to achieve for the new year.
Writing Progress
My main project is my novel Guardian of the Cursed Crown.
In April, I hired editor Jesse Rebock to look it over. I worked with him before and I was happy with the results so I’m confident he can really push the story forward.
In May, I started a collection of short stories which I’m calling Chronicles of the Cursed Crown. These short […]

It highlights the tragic fates of the beloved Rebel Pilots across the Star Wars movies.
The First Law Triology by Joe Abercrombie
You can tell by my reviews of Joe Abercrumbie’s the First Law Trilogy over at My Books Escape that I’m a big fan of these books.
The story is gripping, the characters are memorable, and the writing is a joy to read.
One of the things that I consider great about this trilogy is the dialogue.
Throughout the story, the characters say things that either makes you think or keep you on the edge of your seat.
So what are the greatest words said?
Here’s my top five dialogue from the First Law Trilogy.
Logen talks to Quai
Logen is relaxing on a balcony in Bayaz’ Library. Quai comes over to say thanks for not leaving him to die by the lake.
When Quai asks if Logen has seen a lot of death, here’s the response:
Logen: “I’ve fought in three campaigns, in […]

Do you watch History Channel’s Vikings series?
Well every time I tell a friend about it, I get the same negative response.
Why? Because they make documentaries, not great series like Game of Thrones.
If you believe that, then check out my guest post over at SF Signal: 5 Reasons Why Fantasy Readers Should Watch History Channel’s VIKINGS
So what do you think of it now?
